BC PNP Tech Pilot Extended Indefinitely

The BC PNP Tech Pilot has been extended indefinitely and renamed BC PNP Tech. BC PNP Tech offers people in 29 tech occupations a prioritized pathway to permanent residency, and an opportunity to contribute to the Province’s shared prosperity and build a great life here in B.C.

If your employee applies with a valid job offer under one of the 29 eligible occupations, their job offer must be for at least one year (365 days), and the job offer must have at least 120 days remaining at the time of application to the BC PNP.

BC PNP Tech offers people in 29 tech occupations a prioritized pathway to permanent residency, and an opportunity to contribute to the Province’s shared prosperity and build a great life here in B.C. Here is the list of the 29 occupations that are eligible for BCPNP Tech Pilot Program:

  1. Telecommunication carriers managers
  2. Computer and information systems managers
  3. Managers – publishing, motion pictures, broadcasting and performing arts
  4. Civil engineers
  5. Mechanical engineers
  6. Electrical and electronics engineers
  7. Chemical engineers
  8. Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)
  9. Information systems analysts and consultants
  10. Database analysts and data administrators
  11. Software engineers and designers
  12. Computer programmers and interactive media developers
  13. Web designers and developers
  14. Biological technologists and technicians
  15. Electrical and electronics engineering technologists and technicians
  16. Electronic service technicians (household and business equipment)
  17. Industrial instrument technicians and mechanics
  18. Computer network technicians
  19. User support technicians
  20. Information systems testing technicians
  21. Authors and writers
  22. Editors
  23. Translators, terminologists and interpreters
  24. Broadcast technicians
  25. Audio and video recording technicians
  26. Other technical and coordinating occupations in motion pictures, broadcasting and the performing arts
  27. Support occupations in motion pictures, broadcasting, photography and the performing arts
  28. Graphic designers and illustrators
  29. Technical sales specialists – wholesale trade
