Entrepreneur Immigration programs are designed for foreign nationals who are able to contribute to Canada’s economic growth by utilizing their business experience and making an investment in the local economy.
BC PNP (Regional Pilot)
The Regional Pilot is intended to attract entrepreneurs to participating regional communities to establish new businesses that align with the communities’ economic development priorities.
BC PNP (Base Category)
The Base Category is intended for experienced entrepreneurs who intend to establish new businesses or take over and grow existing businesses in B.C.
- Personal Net Worth – A minimum of $300,000
- Business Owner-Manager and/or Senior Manager Experience – You must have a minimum of:
- more than three years of experience as an active business owner-manager; or
- more than four years of experience as a senior manager; or
- a combination of at least one year of experience as an active business owner-manager and at least two years of experience as a senior manager
- Education – You must have one of the following:
- a post-secondary credential (such as a degree, diploma or certificate from a licensed postsecondary institution); or
- experience as an active business owner-manager with 100 per cent ownership of the business for at least three of the past five years
- Language Proficiency- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 or higher in each of the four competencies
- Eligible Businesses – The BC PNP will only consider registrations to establish a new business in a participating community that aligns with one of the economic development priorities identified by the community
- Percent Ownership – You must demonstrate that you will own at least 51 per cent of the business in B.C.
- Eligible Personal Investments- minimum of $100,000
- Minimum Job Creation Requirements- You must create at least one new, permanent full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- Personal Net Worth- A minimum of $600,000
- Business Owner-Manager and/or Senior Manager Experience- You must have a minimum of:
- more than three years of experience as an active business owner-manager; or
- more than four years of experience as a senior manager; or
- a combination of at least one year of experience as an active business owner-manager and at least two years of experience as a senior manager.

- Percent Ownership- You must demonstrate that you will own at least one-third (33 1/3 per cent) of the business in B.C. If your proposed ownership is less than 33 1/3 per cent, you must make an equity investment of at least $1 million.
- Eligible Personal Investment- minimum of $200,000
- Minimum Job Creation Requirements- You must create at least one new, permanent full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
