Express Entry Immigration: CRS score drops by 2 points August 5th, 2020

Downtown Vancouver

Express Entry is an online system used to manage the applications for permanent residence received through three programs: Canadian Experience Class, Federal Skilled Worker, and Federal Skilled Trades. Applicants in the Express Entry pool are ranked according to a points-based system, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), based on a number of factors including education background, work experience, etc. The highest-ranking individuals are then selected and issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence.

On August 5, 2020,  3,900 ITAs for permanent residency were issued to candidates. The lowest score for this draw was 476, which is 2 points lower than the previous draw that took place on July 8, 2020. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) draws every 2-3 weeks, and permanent residence applications through Express Entry are generally processed by the Government of Canada in six months.
