Express Entry Update: Proof of Funds Change


Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has recently updated the minimum proof of funds required for Express Entry applicants.  This update affects those applying under the Federal Skilled Worker Program and Federal Skilled Trades Program.

What you need to do:

Check Your Profile: Have you submitted your Express Entry profile? To maintain your eligibility, you may need to update the settlement fund information in your Express Entry profile by May 27, 2024. Updating your profile will not alter the date and time of your submission, ensuring that your ranking remains unchanged in the event of a tie-breaker situation.

Review Eligibility: 

Don’t forget, proof of funds is not required for the Canadian Experience Class or if you have a valid job offer with work authorization in Canada (even under FSWP or FSTP).
