What is the BC PNP Tech Pilot?
Launched in 2017, the BC PNP Tech Pilot is an initiative under the B.C. Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) to support the tech sector in recruiting top international talent. The BC PNP Tech Pilot is being extended to June 2021.
The BC PNP Tech Pilot offers weekly “tech-only” invitations to apply (ITA) to qualified candidates working in one of 29 eligible tech occupations in B.C.
Tech Pilot job offers
If your employee applies with a valid job offer under one of the 29 eligible occupations, their job offer must be for at least one year (365 days), and the job offer must have at least 120 days remaining at the time of application to the BC PNP.
Periodically, BCPNP invites the highest-scoring registrants in each category to apply. They then nominate successful applicants to apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence. As of September 22, the lowest score was 80. 74 applicants were selected to apply.
